Transforming Omni-Channel SaaS Product
The journey of designing seamless omni-channel product experience of construction management system & software
Background
Howbuild offers online, all-in-one, end-to-end construction management service for real estate developers, home owners, and contractors. Users, such as a home owner, use Howbuild to find architects and/or construction companies within Howbuild's network and manage construction projects online from start to finish.
The core product had a critical problem; Due to the archaic data & engineering system it was running on, the product could not expand or scale. The product needs to be redesigned completely, inside and out, in order to grow with the company and its business.
Over 12 months, I spearheaded the product transformation as Product Design Lead and a Product Strategist. Creating a singular seamless user experience with a product with multiple touch points was a great challenge. This case study exhibits design journey of the transformation.
Unique Challenges
My unique design challenge was twofold.
First, the product is very complicated but our core team had very limited resource.

Existing platform design was outdated and structured in archaic ways, causing users to interact inefficiently. Users need centralized construction management software, the single source of truth for all stakeholders.
